The Beginning
The Detroit Party began as an affordable event designed to feature Detroit’s talented DJs and visual artists. Hosted at The Old Miami, it was created as a gathering for music lovers and creatives to connect and celebrate the city’s underground culture. The focus was simple: to bring Detroit’s art and music to life in an accessible and inclusive way. Over the years, this idea has blossomed into a beloved Memorial Day weekend tradition.

Year 1
Sunday, May 29, 2022 – The Old Miami
The inaugural Detroit Party brought together the best of Detroit’s underground music scene. Performers included Tony Nova, EsShaki, Drums of Detroit, Dr. Tingle Fingers, and VJ Strokenfold, creating an unforgettable night of Detroit techno and house music.
Year 2
Thursday, August 11, 2022 – The Old Miami
The second Detroit Party expanded into a summer celebration, featuring performances by Shameless, Tony Nova, and VJ Strokenfold. With a laid-back patio vibe, the event combined music, art, and community, further cementing its place as a true celebration of Detroit culture.
Year 3
Sunday, May 28, 2023 – The Old Miami
The third Detroit Party introduced new creative elements, including tarot readings and food vendors. Performers such as Mike “Agent X” Clark, Origami Phase, Yeong Taek, EsShaki, Tony Nova, provided an electric soundtrack, while the addition of art and local food elevated the experience.
Year 4: Sunday, May 26, 2024 – The Old Miami
The fourth Detroit Party celebrated Summer Vibes with a diverse lineup of performers, including Evan Oswald, Jamison “The Silent Ech0” Lundy, JeffreyNothing, Drums of Detroit, WAYLAU & DJ BATZ B2B, DJ GONZILLA, and Tony Nova. Tarot readings by MZ CYNDI, video/MC by VJ StrokeNfold, and art displays made it a memorable day on The Old Miami’s patio.
